SheOne's unique brand of Abstract Typogrophy is rooted deep in the new wave graffiti era of early eighties New York, however his trademark strokes and bold expressive approach to image making put him firmly in the present.
His paintings are a constant re-rendering of now. Hip, data injected splats and oversprays, accurate spills and bloodloss ornamentation reveal a deliberate and complex layered story. Works relay an emotional argot, mapped out in highly personal and stylised shorthand, derived from years of acute mark making.
One of the first generation of English artists to work exclusively in spraypaint, commit works to unruly curator free environments and eventually transfer this aesthetic style and medium to canvas.
SHEONE began to make works on canvas in tandem with his wall painting as a reaction to the transient nature and short lifespan of such works in the mid 90's. In recent years he has managed to successfully transfer the scale and energy of illegal street painting into the well-lit confines of the gallery creating international exhibitions and site-specific installations.
He says 'I was fortunate to start making graffiti as a teenager, fortunate because spraypaint and the application of graffiti, unlike today, had no legitimate artistic legacy and so I was free from any preconceived critique of my approach to image making"

Since graduating from the University Of The West of England in Bristol in 1998, Duncan Jago’s work has undergone a prolonged and continuous process of abstraction.
Duncan’s early – doodle-derived – mark making evolved deliberately into his current way of working; the droid-like figures of his formative, commercial illustration slowly enveloped in ever-deepening layers of colour and shade. These figures have now become almost entirely hidden, remaining as shadowy, compositional elements, specters lurking in the gloom behind the kaleidoscopic vapours of (what might perhaps be) humankind’s vanity and pollution. One senses a narrative, but it remains obscured, teasingly just out-of-view.
Most recently, Duncan has taken the idioms of spray painting to a level of sophistication rarely seen in the medium, completely uninhibited by any notions of what spray painting is, or should be. There is maturity and depth to the use of colour that hints at the mineral traces left by geological time, or the complex nebulae of deep space revealed by Hubble’s keen eye.
His work is the result of a stream-of-consciousness approach, where meaning presents itself through process. One might well use the phrase abstract expressionism, since form and structure have undergone a process of abstraction, whilst primarily being emotionally expressive. It is both formally organised and balanced, as well as spontaneous and visceral.

Jaybo is a runaway, setting out and wandering along in a physical as well as in a creative sense. In his youth, he ran away from his house in southern France, settling in Berlin-Kreuzberg at the beginning of the 1980’s, where he busied himself as a graffiti writer, street actor and hip-hop musician. When he founded the streetwear label “Irie Daily” and the cultural magazine “Style” at the beginning of the 1990’s, his influence on Berlin’s youth culture and fashion scene could be clearly seen.
Even today, urban subculture is the driving force behind his artistic activities.
This is especially true of his paintings; they are erratic and chaotic as they directly quote various fragments of urban subculture.
They often plumb great psychological depths, thematically speaking, with lightness meeting existentialistic melancholy, aggressiveness meeting passion and a seemingly standard romantic streak and visionary dimension.

Poesia is a self taught San Francisco Bay Area Artist predominantly known for his early 90′s graffiti murals throughout the San Francisco bay area. A self-proclaimed Graffuturist, recognised most for his early wild style pieces and later evolution into a more abstract and conceptual based Graffiti style. He is a member of the Transcend Collective & founder of the Graffuturism Blog that serves as a showcase for artists pushing the boundaries of style & painting.

Derm has been experimenting with graphic letterforms and abstract mixed media since the mid-eighties. His roots are with spray paint where he has explored abstract minimal letterform and colour within the environment. He is trained in graphic design and typography, which reflect within his work. His paintings and sculptures observe the surrounding architecture and textures of his environment.
Derm is part of the arts collective Agents of Change responsible for the award wining Ghost Village Project.

Morten Andersen paints and stretches his lines artistically within the neo-form of abstraction known today as urban-abstract-contemporary.
In his artwork Morten channels an intense relationship and obsession for crooked lines, abstract forms, transparent overlaying techniques, and graphically styled patterns into a universe of tones, complemented and sparked by the flow of a few contrast colors and powerful visual elements. Marker work is a strong player in Morten's work, and although it's very time intensive, it gives the final work a delicate hand styled skin. Energetically, expressively, everything is detailed to the extreme through hard contrasts, its stretched, twisted, and bears a raw energy similar to that of graffiti. Morten continues to stylistically pursue this point of origin in his visuals, building on a decade of aerosol calisthenics that paved his way into the fine arts. In the first glimpse the line work displays a resemblance to an abstract letter of the alphabet, proposing an immediate visual communication that is accentuated by unexpected color bursts. The works offer a depth of layering and variety of elements, offering ways into the painting to create an outlet for the observer to understand their own style, thoughts, personal emotions, and states of mind.

Lyken lives & works as an Artist & Musician in Glasgow, Scotland. A notable pioneer he was among the first to begin writing Graffiti in the 80′s in Scotland. He divides his time between painting and composing Electronic Music.
His paintings are influenced by cellular division & decay, bacterial spread & meteorological phenomena through which themes of mutation and metamorphosis are explored.
Lyken’s layered and gestural work captures turbulent events and cycles along the timeline of a living cosmos. These are worlds within worlds, chemical universes revealed at a microscopic level.

NAWER; architect, designer, street artist, and a graduate of the Architecture and Urbanism program in Krakow. He has been involved with street art since the mid 90's. In 2003, he began to devote time between painting and freelancing in interior design. Creativity stems toward isometric graphics within public and functional spaces. Interior spatiality is described as a blend of objects within space, while painting by perspective and axonometry using aerosol as a main medium. The combination of these two approaches allows a fresh take on the design of arrangement and creativity of an interior space. As his own style evolves, the goal is to always strive forward in an effort to connect painting with architecture. Recently Nawer teamed up with the Design Collective, Temporary Space for a series of projects combining his linear style & visual aesthetic with the latest in Video & 3D mapping techniques in a groundbreaking audio & visual performance.

Matt W. Moore is the founder of MWM Graphics, a Design and Illustration studio based in Portland, Maine. Matt works across disciplines, from colorful digital illustrations in his signature “Vectorfunk” style, to freeform watercolor paintings, and massive aerosol murals. When you first view Augustine Kofie’s artwork you immediately are struck with the skill and intensity of his technique. You can understand his love of process and structure. With a strong interest in architecture, form and typography, 1960’s iconography, contemporary music and street culture, Augustine constructs a dialogue in his work that is not always easily revealed. His collages and assemblages are layers upon layers of development. His work is as much unintentional mastery as it is intentional order. The imagery not only leaps out at you, but also draws you into his conversation.
Growing up in Los Angeles and very active in the West Los Angeles Graffiti scene since the mid 1990’s, Kofie’One, as he came to be known, is a skillful and well respected street artist. After viewing one of his paintings and assemblages you may begin to recognize his distinct style in one of his many murals scattered around Los Angeles. Drawing on his craft of lettering he has developed an abstraction that goes beyond the traditional 3 dimensions of our known world into a crafted world that builds on itself. Choices like his color pallet recall a vintage sensibility. He has the innate ability to combine appreciation of the past and his vision of a developed future.
